Michael Vick and the Eagles have eaten a massive helping of humble pie this week. Amid snickers aimed at the disastrous, faded "Dream Team" label -- Vince Young's lone contribution to the team -- 49ers back Frank Gore called Philadelphia a bunch of quitters.

After a rocky start that has given Broadway's "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" a run for the money, quarterback Michael Vick is rebooting the machine.

"Every game from this point out is a 'must-win game' for us," Vick told the team's official website. "That's our approach moving forward. We're taking it one game at a time, because when you get too far ahead of yourself, you tend not to be able to focus on what's right in front of you. We can't dwell on last week. It's over. Now, it's on the next game.

"We've got a lot of enthusiasm. We're just going to go out there, take it one game at a time and try to get win No. 2. The guys in this locker room aren't frustrated, we're just eager and we have a big-time sense of urgency."

It's clear the football media looked "too far ahead" with this team. The Eagles have talent to burn, but it was premature to assume their dominance within the conference, much less their own division.

There's no telling where this team rests psychologically. A win Sunday in Buffalo can clear away some of the wreckage it has left along the road this season.
