San Diego cornerback Quentin Jammer is likely to join tight end Antonio Gates on the sidelines against the Miami Dolphins. But the Chargers expect several other players dealing with injuries -- running back Ryan Mathews and wide receivers Vincent Jackson and Malcolm Floyd -- to play Sunday.
Jammer (hamstring) and Gates (foot) were listed as doubtful on Friday's injury report after not practicing all week.
Mathews (foot) was listed as probable while Jackson (abdomen) and Floyd (groin) were listed as questionable Friday after all three took part in full practice. It was Jackson and Floyd's first practice of the week, while Mathews took part in limited drills on Wednesday.
âThe hardest thing about making decisions about guys (playing or not) on Sunday is if a guy is up and going to play, heâs got to play," Turner told the newspaper. "If a guy can only play 10 to 15 plays, you have to have a plan for when he canât play anymore. ... Itâs about getting into a rhythm offensively when itâs always changing in terms of the personnel. It makes it a little harder on everyone.â
Meanwhile, defensive end Corey Liuget (ankle) is considered probable after practicing full for the second day in a row.
