Foster aggravated his hamstring during the Texans' 23-13 victory over the Miami Dolphins last week after totaling just 33 yards on 10 carries. Foster has battled issues with his hamstring since the preseason, and he sat out the Texans' season opener against the Indianapolis Colts.

Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Tuesday that Foster was day to day this week, and on Wednesday, he didn't rule out the running back for the Week 3 game against the New Orleans Saints. Backup Ben Tate will take the bulk of Sunday's carries regardless of Foster's status.

Tate has rushed for more than 100 yards in each of Houston's first two games, becoming the 11th player in NFL history to post back-to-back 100-yard games on the ground to start his career.
