The Eagles slammed St. Louis for 239 yards on the ground, but Michael Vick -- who frequently avoided the blitz by taking off on his feet -- failed to get the passing game into rhythm. Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg believes that can be fixed by getting Maclin more involved.
"He was, by play, the No. 1 (target) more than you would think with one catch," Mornhinweg told the Philadelphia Inquirer. "The ball went in some other ways. And then it's my responsibility getting him the ball just a little more."
Maclin brushed off worries that he was slowed by remnants of the virus that sidelined him for much of training camp.
"I felt fine," Maclin said after the game. "My legs are fresh. It wasn't any of that."
