Week 1 vs. 49ers
Beating the 49ers would give the Packers a leg up in the battle for home-field advantage and show they can beat the best defense the NFC has to offer. Green Bay struggled running the football in 2011; maintaining an effective ground game against the best front seven in football would be a statement.
Week 6 at Texans
A lot of people noticed that Green Bay's secondary got burned repeatedly last year. But the run defense, and the overrated B.J. Raji, got pushed around, allowing 4.7 yards per carry. Travelling to Houston will be a challenge, because Arian Foster and the Texans can run on anybody. Super Bowl preview?
Week 12 at Giants
The Giants ended the Packers' season, holding up the trophy that Green Bay felt it should've been hoisting. It doesn't help that legendary Packers coach Vince Lombardi's name can be found on that same trophy.
