The Indianapolis Colts said Tuesday that they will hold Austin Collie out of this weekend's game against the San Diego Chargers "as a precautionary measure" while the wide receiver deals with post-concussion symptoms.
The team released a statement, saying Collie "encountered symptoms from his previous injury" -- a concussion he sustained during a Nov. 7 game at Philadelphia -- and had to leave last Sunday's 31-28 loss to the New England Patriots. Collie, who had been medically cleared to play, had five receptions for 60 yards in less than a half before departing.
The Colts also announced that safety Bob Sanders, who suffered a biceps injury in the season opener, will not return this weekend.
Running back Joseph Addai will participate in non-contact drills this week "for conditioning purposes," although the Colts don't know when he can return to full action. Addai hasn't played since hurting his left shoulder during an Oct. 17 game against the Washington Redskins.
