Falcons RBs Turner, Norwood injured vs. Cardinals

ATLANTA –- Atlanta Falcons Coach Mike Smith said that starting running back Michael Turner sustained a minor groin injury in Atlanta's 41-7 victory over Arizona but he should be ready to start next Sunday at New Orleans.

Turner had nine carries for 75 yards before leaving and was kept out of the second half as a precaution.

Jason Snelling filled in for Turner and scored two touchdowns and gained 129 yards on 24 carries.

Atlanta's top backup RB, Jerious Norwood, suffered a knee injury on the opening kickoff and did not return. Smith said he did not have a full medical report on the frequently injured Norwood.
