Buccaneers QB Freeman to practice without glove Tuesday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris says starting quarterback Josh Freeman will return to practice Tuesday and be ready for the team's season home opener against the Cleveland Browns on Sept 12, according to the Bucs' official Twitter page.

"Coach says Josh Freeman is a full-go for practice tomorrow and will not wear a glove on his right hand," the team tweeted on Monday.

The second-year quarterback fractured the tip of the thumb on his throwing hand during the opening quarter of team's 20-15 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Aug. 21.

Freeman was the third quarterback selected in the 2009 draft behind Matthew Stafford and Mark Sanchez. Freeman went 3-6 in nine starts as a rookie, and Tampa Bay -- coming off its worst finish since 1991 -- doesn't have an experienced veteran playing behind the 6-foot-6, 248-pound passer.
