Former Cowboys safety Watkins visits Bengals

Free-agent safety Pat Watkins visited the Cincinnati Bengals on Wednesday, according to a league source.

Watkins, taken by the Dallas Cowboys in the fifth round of the 2006 draft, was recently released by the team after four seasons in which he started 10 games and was a key special teams player.

Watkins missed 11 games over the last two seasons with knee and neck injuries.
