Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson was carted off the field during a Saturday afternoon practice at training camp in Lehigh, Pa.

Jackson, the Eagles' leading receiver last season, caught a pass and stumbled to the ground without making contact with other players, then needed help to the sidelines. Moments later, a cart came and took Jackson to the workout facility.

The Eagles' official Web site reported that Jackson's injury was to his back. Team officials said Jackson is still being evaluated by the medical staff.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Jackson eventually walked out of the locker room on his own and drove away without speaking to reporters. Teammates and Eagles sources told the newspaper that Jackson's injury wasn't serious.

Jackson, one of the NFL's most dynamic playmakers, had a career year in 2009 with 62 catches for 1,156 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
