The Cleveland Browns signed their first-round draft pick, cornerback Joe Haden, on Saturday.
Haden's deal is worth $50 million over five years, with $26 million guaranteed, a league source told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora. Haden also will receive a $12 million signing bonus paid in 2010.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound cornerback out of Florida was the No. 7 pick in April's draft. He missed the Browns' first training-camp workout Saturday, and Browns coach Eric Mangini cautioned that Haden was falling further behind every day he didn't report.
Haden is expected to challenge Eric Wright for a starting job in Cleveland's secondary.
