Young watched Kerry Collins take all the first-team practice repetitions Friday, one day after tweaking the knee. Young originally was hurt during last Sunday's 27-17 road loss to the Indianapolis Colts, though tests on the knee came back fine.
"He didn't practice today," said Titans coach Jeff Fisher, who added that Young missing practice "will not have anything to do with whether or not he plays. He understands the game plan and got at least half of the preparation."
Young told the The Tennessean on Friday that he would play.
Titans running back Chris Johnson returned to practice and is listed as probable this week, as is wide receiver Kenny Britt, who also fully participated in practice after being added to the injury report Thursday with a back injury.
Linebackers David Thornton (rest) and Colin Allred (hamstring) are questionable after being limited in practice Friday.
