Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner left Sunday's game against the Rams after taking a blow to the head in the second quarter and did not return.

Warner sounded confident following the game, telling the Cardinals' official Web site he didn't feel the injury was serious and he anticipates playing next week against the Tennessee Titans.

“I took a shot and I was a little unclear right after,” said Warner. "I just wanted to be smart. I didn’t feel perfect."

Warner was 15-of-19 passing for 203 yards and two touchdowns, helping the Cardinals take a 21-3 lead. It was unclear when Warner was injured, although he took a hard hit from Rams safety O.J. Atogwe on a blitz on his last drive.

Warner, a two-time NFL MVP with the Rams, was facing his old team for the seventh time since joining the Cardinals in 2005. Matt Leinart replaced Warner as the Cardinals' quarterback late in the second quarter.
