The Cleveland Browns have signed veteran cornerback Corey Ivy, the team announced Thursday.
Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
Ivy began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent in 1999 and spent the season on the New England Patriots' practice squad. After attending Cleveland's training camp the following year, Ivy landed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2001. He spent four seasons with the Bucs and was a member of the 2002 Tampa Bay team that won Super Bowl XXXVII. Ivy played one season with the St. Louis Rams (2005) before joining the Ravens.
Ivy has started 21 of 110 games in his career and made 278 tackles, 9.5 sacks and three interceptions. He started a career-high 13 games for the Ravens in 2007, finishing with 57 tackles, three sacks and one interception.
