The Arizona Cardinals announced Tuesday that they have re-signed free-agent linebacker Clark Haggans to a three-year contract.
Financial terms weren't disclosed.
Haggans rejoins the Cardinals after playing in 11 games last season and recording 27 tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery. He went on injured reserve Dec. 19 because of a left foot injury and missed the final three regular-season and all four postseason games, including a Super Bowl XLIII loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, his former team.
Haggans signed with Arizona last year after spending the first eight years of his NFL career with Pittsburgh, which selected him in the fifth round (137th overall) of the 2000 NFL Draft out of Colorado State. In his eight seasons with the Steelers, Haggans appeared in 108 games with 61 starts, including in a Super Bowl XL victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
