Solomon Wilcots

Former defensive back Solomon Wilcots has been with NFL Network since its inception in November 2003.

Wilcots is a regular contributor to Around the League, reporting the latest news from team facilities around the NFL.

Wilcots also works for CBS Sports, where he has been a game analyst since 2001, on the network’s NFL coverage. He also serves as a correspondent for CBS' The NFL Today pregame show. In 2011, Wilcots began calling New Orleans Saints preseason games. Additionally, Wilcots can also be heard on Sirius NFL radio as a co-host on "Moving the Chains."

Previously, he was part of CBS’ broadcast team for the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament and was the sideline reporter for ESPN Sunday Night Football, where he earned a Sports Emmy in 2000.

Wilcots played 92 games over six NFL seasons, including every contest in his final five years. He spent his first four NFL seasons with Cincinnati (1987-90), where he was the starting free safety in Super Bowl XXIII, followed by one year in Minnesota and a season in Pittsburgh.

An eighth-round draft choice in 1987 by the Bengals, he earned All-Big Eight honors as a senior at the University of Colorado.
