Former NFL defensive end Akbar Gbaja-Biamila serves as a fantasy expert with actual playing experience.

Gbaja-Biamila joins Michael Fabiano, Matt "Money" Smith, Dave Dameshek, Jason Smith, Adam Rank and Elliot Harrison as studio analysts on NFL Fantasy Live and can also be seen throughout the week on NFL AM.

Prior to joining NFL Media in 2012, the 33-year old Southern California native's previous broadcasting duties included calling college football games for NBC Sports Network, serving as an analyst for the CBS Sports Network and the Mtn. Network, and the co-host of "Football Night in San Diego" on KSWB in San Diego from 2006-2008.

Additionally, Gbaja-Biamila was featured in Mark Burnett's reality series, "Expedition Impossible," on ABC.

An All-Mountain West Conference player for San Diego State, Gbaja-Biamila signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2003 and played two seasons with the team. He spent time with the San Diego Chargers (2006) and the Miami Dolphins (2007) before retiring in 2008.

Gbaja-Biamila’s older brother, Kabeer, played nine seasons with the Green Bay Packers.
