Megatron, otherwise known as Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson, has broken Jerry Rice's all-time record for receiving yards in a single season. Rice accumulated 1,848 receiving yards in the 1995 season, but Johnson shattered that mark in week 16. Johnson set the new record at 1,964 receiving yards in a single season.

WEEK 17 VS. BEARS

The record is broken. Even with another week left, Megatron obliterated Jerry Rice's all-time season receiving yards record of 1,848 yards. Megatron caught 11 passes for a mind-blowing 225 receiving yards. The Lions still lost, but Megatron is now the all-time leader with another week to add to his total. The Lions got clobbered 38-10 by the Arizona cardinals, but Megatron checked a few more milestones in the process. He tied the record for seven straight games with 100 receiving yards, and became the first player to reach 1,600 receiving yards in consecutive seasons.
