2010 record: 7-9 (Second in NFC West)

Fearless Forecast

  • Jason La Canfora

Love Sam Bradford and what they are building here, but the brutal first-half schedule will make every game in the second half something like a postseason game. That's alot for young team to handle.
Prediction: 7-9, second in NFC West

  • Steve Wyche

The first stretch of the schedule is brutal but the Rams will be better for it down the stretch. The defensive front seven and the physicality they can play with on offense is a nice nucleus. They also have the best quarterback in the division in Sam Bradford.
Prediction: 9-7, first in NFC West

  • Pat Kirwan

Sam Bradford is the best QB in the division and the defense is getting better.
Prediction: 9-7, first in NFC West

  • Bucky Brooks

Sam Bradford is the best quarterback in the division, but he lacks the supporting cast to win the division crown in his second season.
Prediction: 8-8, second in NFC West

  • Elliot Harrison

The Mike Sims-Walker addition should help. The Josh McDaniels addition will help. Like atlanta with Michael Turner, the Rams have to keep Steven Jackson upright to make the playoffs. That said, they're the strongest team in the NFC West.
Prediction: 8-8, first in NFC West

On the hot seat

Chris Long | #91 | DE

Long started to show flashes of being a dominant defender in his third pro season while harassing quarterbacks off the edge with his quickness and relentless motor. Steve Spagnuolo will want to see his young pass rusher take another step in his development as the Rams make a post-season push.

Tickets
3 Pivotal Games
Week 2 at Giants
The Rams went just 2-6 on the road last season, which hindered their chances of winning the NFC West. So traveling to the East Coast and beating New York on "Monday Night Football" would be a major statement. It also would make former Giants defensive coordinator and current Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo pretty happy.
Week 10 at Browns
Sam Bradford's Offensive Rookie of the Year campaign could be largely attributed to the care and attention he received from offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur. Well, Shurmur left the Rams to become coach of the Browns, and the pupil will have a chance to show the teacher he can do the job without him.
Week 14 at Seahawks
The Rams traveled to Seattle to play the Seahawks in prime time last season with the NFC West title on the line in the regular-season finale, which didn't turn out well for St. Louis. If similar circumstances surround this matchup on "Monday Night Football," you can believe the Rams will have revenge on their minds.
