Where can I purchase tickets to NFL games?

Tickets for all 32 NFL teams can be purchased by visiting our Tickets page. You can click on the team links to buy tickets online or call the team ticket offices at the numbers listed.

How can I buy Super Bowl XLIX tickets?

The demand for tickets to the Super Bowl greatly exceeds the supply. The majority of tickets are allotted to the two participating teams, and to a lesser extent through each of the other NFL teams. Remaining tickets for the general public are made available through a random drawing. There is no other means for the general public to purchase tickets. The NFL does not sell tickets to travel or ticket agents.

Entries for the random drawing are accepted between Feb. 1 and June 1 of the year preceding the game in question. All ticket requests must be sent via certified or registered mail. Those selected in the random drawing will have the opportunity to purchase two tickets.

Requests for Super Bowl XLIX, to be played Feb. 2015 in Glendale, Arizona, will be accepted beginning Feb. 1, 2014 until June 1, 2014. Your request for admittance into the drawing should include Full Name, address, city, state, zip, phone, and email. They should be sent to:

Super Bowl tickets are the Holy Grail for die-hard NFL football fans. To help eliminate the sale of fake tickets the NFL has incorporated several security devices built into official Super Bowl tickets. Some of the overt security devices include holograms, custom laser cutouts, thermachromic ink and a specially-made gloss varnish. A counterfeit ticket may be missing one or even several of these or other security features. The NFL also provides you with a secure, official resale marketplace to purchase your Super Bowl tickets, the NFL Ticket Exchange. Buying online from a non-NFL affiliate may be risky since there is no way of knowing if a ticket is real until game time. Even if a ticket looks real, it may be one that has been reported lost or stolen, which means the person holding it will not be granted entry into the stadium.

What does the green dot on the back of the quarterback's helmet mean?

The green dot signifies a helmet with a communication device for receiving plays from the sideline. Only quarterbacks may wear them, and only one player with such a helmet may be on the field at a given time. A backup quarterback entering the game while the starting quarterback remains on the field must wear an alternate helmet without a radio device.

Are statistics in the Gamebooks official?

No. Gamebooks are prepared on site at each game using data available immediately following the completion of a game. They are intended to provide a snapshot of the game's action and are not updated after stats are made official on Monday mornings. Please note that scoring decisions made on game days are reviewed and frequently adjusted before becoming official. How can I become an NFL official?

Here are the basic requirements necessary to qualify as an official in the National Football League:
  • We expect our candidates to have a minimum of 10 years of experience in officiating football, at least five of which have been on a varsity collegiate or other minor professional level.
  • Our candidates must be in excellent physical condition and belong to an accredited football officials association or have previous experience in football as a player or coach.

What happens if I switch wireless providers?

NFL Mobile Premium is only available for Verizon Wireless customers. You will need to call Verizon customer support to cancel your subscription. The customer support number for Verizon is 800-922-0204 or you can dial *611 from your mobile device.

I subscribe to Verizon Broadband (but not Verizon FIOS), can I get access to all the games on NFLM?

NFLM video game cast is available on both Verizon systems.

Blackouts and wifi connections

How is my location determined if the event is blacked out?

If you receive a message that states, This content is subject to blackout. this is because the event that you requested is not available on NFLM in your location. Blackouts apply to telecasts that have been sold regionally or locally per league, conference and local rights holder agreements. Regional and local rights holders are usually broadcast stations or regional sports networks. Blackouts are implemented to protect the primary rights holder, as defined by the professional leagues or teams in a given market.

Do blackouts apply for Condensed Games?

Yes, the same Weekly blackout restrictions that apply for locally televised games during both the 1pm ET and 4pm ET game windows on Sunday, apply to the Condensed Game archives.

Will NFLM also be available on WIFI?

NFL Mobile will also work on WIFI, 3G and 4G service.

Why is my audio and video not in sync?

Make sure that you are not doing anything network intensive on the same connection, such as downloading or sharing large files, or playing online games. When I launch NFLM Premium, I see a black screen, nothing happens or there is no audio/video.
What is wrong?

Video can take several seconds to display or you may be running a content filter, antivirus application or proxy accelerator that is preventing the streaming of video content. Please turn off these services and try again. If the problem persists, please contact us via the help area or via email mobilecs@nflhelp.com

I cannot connect to NFLM through my APPLE device. The app will not open. What should I do?

Make sure your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch has an Internet connection by opening another Internet application or the app store.

  • If you are not able to reach the Internet through your cellular carrier, try a wireless network.
  • If you are not able to reach the Internet through a wireless network, you might have a network connection issue.

If the above solution does not fix your issue, try to reinstall the NFL Mobile application.

  1. From the main menu, touch and hold the NFL Mobile app on the Home screen until it jiggles.
  2. Tap the X in the top left of the NFL Mobile icon, then tap Delete.
  3. Enter the App Store, search for NFL Mobile and select the free NFL Mobile app from the NFL
  4. Tap the Install button. You will need to enter your iTunes password to install the app.
  5. Once installed, tap the NFL Mobile icon.

I cannot connect to NFLM through my ANDROID device. The app will not open. What should I do?

If you experience the error Connection failed. If you want to retry, please select the retry button. If you want to exit the application, please select the Exit button immediately or intermittently after opening the app, this is typically due to a connection error.
Follow the steps below to resolve.

  1. First, determine if your device is receiving an Internet connection at all. Open another Internet connected application or an app store on the device. If other services also fail to connect, you'll want to reach out to the manufacturer for assistance connecting your device to the Internet.
  2. If your device is connected to the Internet but you are still getting the error, turn your device completely off, and then turn it back on.
  3. Still having issues? Try connecting your device to another Internet source--a cellular data network, a wireless network, or a different wireless network than the one you're currently connected to.

If you are still having trouble or have any questions about these steps, visit your device manufacturer's support site or your cellular carrier's support site for more help.

How do I trouble shoot my NFLM app from the APPLE store?

If you are having an issue with an app you purchased from the App Store on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
Restart the application
If the issue affects only a single app, try closing just that app:

  1. Press the Home button to return to the Home screen.
  2. Double-tap the Home button to display recent apps.
  3. Tap and hold the affected app until the red minus appears.
  4. Tap the red minus to quit the app.
  5. Press the Home button, and then restart the app.

Restart your device
Hold the Sleep/Wake button until slide to power off appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the Sleep/Wake button to turn it back on.

How do I reinstall the NFLM app on my iPad?

After removing an app from your iPad, use these steps to reinstall it. Open the app store on iPad and locate the app to reinstall. If you previously purchased the app, tap purchased to find it quickly, and then tap the install button. If prompted, enter your iTunes Store account information.
After the app is installed, check to see if your issue is resolved.

How do I log into the app?

If you have Verizon NFL Mobile basic or premium and downloaded it through iTunes App Store or Google Play, you do not need to access a login section to access games. You should be able click on the app and watch the video/game without any need to login.

How do I cancel my NFL Mobile Premium app from my ANDROID Phone?

Go to Device and click NFL Mobile it will launch the app. From there you can follow the instructions to cancel your App. You will want to uninstall updates. Click on Uninstall Updates. Once they are uninstalled, the button changes to Disable. Once you click that, the app moves to the bottom of your app list. When you view it with Manage Apps the app will no longer appear in your app drawer.

Error messages from your video service provider may appear on NFL Mobile. Messages appear when there is an issue with your video service subscription. In this case, you should contact your local video service provider customer service department for further assistance.

The NFL has a blackout policy preventing home games from being televised locally if it is not sold out 72 hours prior to its start time. If the game is blacked out locally you will not be able to see the game on Verizon game cast if you are located in the blackout area.

Error Message- NFL Mobile needs to determine your location before playing video.

Your current location is only used to determine which content NFL Mobile delivers based on certain geographic restrictions. Your location data is never saved or shared with anyone outside of the NFL Mobile operations team. Please wait a few minutes and try again.

Error Message- Verizon 1-mile stadium blackout.

NFL mobile streaming video is not available in and around the stadiums where games are taking place.

  • Live Streaming Video, NFL App V CAST Video, NFL Network and RedZone is blocked on the device at the stadium at which any game is being played. This includes a one mile radius of that stadium.
  • Video Block starts one hour before kickoff and lasts for five hours.
  • Users are able to access the basic features of NFL Mobile, including streaming audio, scores and news.
  • Users are able to access Video Features through the use of Wi-Fi is a Wi-Fi network that supports video is available.

Why does my phone need to be text and Internet-enabled?

NFL mobile content is delivered through text message. For simple text alerts about your favorite shoes, you'll get a message delivered to your phone. For more interactive offerings, the text message will contain a link to an Internet address where can download additional content to your phone. You will not be able to receive text alerts, surf the mobile web or download mobile content without these capabilities.

In addition to the cost of the content, does it cost money or airtime to download?
