Andy Reid: Vick has 'worked like crazy' this offseason

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick gets motivation from all kinds of places. He thinks he was ranked way too low in the "Top 100: Players of 2012" and plans to improve his standing next year.

ATL: Best team ever?

Michael Vick doesn't want to talk about the "Dream Team" but he says this Eagles team is the best he's ever been on, Dan Hanzus writes. **More ...**

"It's all good. I'm going to prove myself and get myself back in the top 20 next year," Vick said via the Philadelphia Inquirer. "Obviously I pay attention to it but I'm a competitor. I feel like I'm one of the best at what I do.

To accomplish that, Vick has been taking on more leadership in practice according to Eagles coach Andy Reid.

"Michael knows what he needs to do and he's worked like crazy. One of the reasons that we've had the attendance here that we've had and one of the reasons that we've had energy is Michael Vick," Reid said.

Vick has attended every practice and avoided any offseason drama. But Reid has to say what he says. It's coachspeak. Offseason puff piece quotes don't really make a difference.

Still, the pieces are in place for "The Dream Team" to make the Super Bowl run everyone expected, just a year later than everyone expected. For Vick, this year feels like a turning point. Will his late career renaissance just wind up as a nice story or is he truly one of the best quarterbacks in the league?
