Dallas Cowboys, San Diego Chargers in talks for joint practices

IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys and San Diego Chargers are in talks to hold joint practices in San Diego around the time the Cowboys break camp in Oxnard, Calif., this summer, a team source said Tuesday.

The practices would be centered on the teams' preseason game at San Diego in mid-August.

If the practice sessions happened, it would be a return engagement, as the Chargers visited Valley Ranch last year for similar sessions. Specifics are still being worked out, but it's possible the Cowboys will play the game, stay in San Diego for the practices, then head home to Texas for good.
