NFL moves up Week 2 Oakland Raiders-Miami Dolphins kickoff

Kickoff for the Week 2 matchup between the Oakland Raiders and Miami Dolphins has been moved to 1 p.m. ET from 4:15 p.m. to accommodate fans celebrating the Rosh Hashanah holiday, the NFL said Thursday.

The Sept. 16 game, which will be played in Miami, will be televised by CBS.

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year, begins at sundown on the same day.

The NFL announced its 2012 schedule Tuesday.
