The Denver Broncos are continuing to add weapons and other players in support of new quarterback Peyton Manning, signing receiver Andre Caldwell on Wednesday. Denver is also evaluating a raft of other free agents, including potential backup quarterback Caleb Hanie.

Caldwell spent the last four seasons with Cincinnati, where he caught 124 passes for 1,172 yards and six touchdowns. Last year, he had 37 catches for 317 yards and three scores.
He can also return punts and kicks, which is an area of need after the Broncos lost their top returner, Eddie Royal. He signed with the San Diego Chargers, a divisional rival, last week.
According to the Denver Post, the Broncos are considering adding Hanie, who played at Colorado State and was a backup for the Chicago Bears for the past three seasons.
Hanie started four games in 2011 in place of injured quarterback Jay Cutler, with the Bears going 0-4 in those games. Hanie has thrown for 679 yards, three touchdowns and 10 interceptions over 11 career games.
The team traded former starter Tim Tebow to the New York Jets on Wednesday.
The Post reported that the team is also looking at quarterback Billy Volek, cornerbacks William Gay and Tracy Porter, tight ends Matthew Mulligan and Jacob Tamme and center Jeff Saturday, a 13-year veteran who played in front of Manning for much of his career.
Finally, the team confirmed on Thursday that it had reached an agreement with free-agent linebacker Wesley Woodyard and re-signed guard Manny Ramirez.
