Bears interview Patriots' Licht for general manager position

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears have interviewed New England Patriots director of pro personnel Jason Licht for their general manager job.

The team said the interview took place Monday at its facility. The Bears are looking to replace the fired Jerry Angelo.

Licht rejoined the Patriots' personnel department in 2009 after working there from 1999 to 2002. In between, he spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals.

The Bears also plan to interview Chiefs director of college scouting Phil Emery, Chargers director of player personnel Jimmy Raye and New York Giants director of college scouting Marc Ross. Chicago director of player personnel Tim Ruskell remains in the running, and more candidates could enter the mix.
