Report: Steelers center Pouncey has high ankle sprain

Pittsburgh's 14-3 win over Cleveland on Thursday night came with a cost.

An MRI exam on Friday revealed that Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey suffered a high ankle sprain against the Browns, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Saturday.

The Pro Bowl center left in the first half after injuring his right ankle, the same one that held him out of the Super Bowl last February.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger also suffered a high ankle sprain in the hard-hitting affair, NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reported Friday.

Both players have time to heal, as Pittsburgh does not play again until facing the San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 19.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
