From the outside, wideout DeSean Jacksonappears to some as temperamental, self-involved and all that's broken with this year's Eagles.
From the inside, Jackson's coaches continue to voice praise.
"For the last several weeks, he was just terrific. He was working hard and great preparation," offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinwegtold the Philadelphia Inquirer on Thursday.Â
"He has never really faded from the hard work and preparation. He's been through a long year, as well. He's got a few things going on ... he's growing as a professional, he's certainly all in here."
Before the season, it was Jackson who openly wondered if the Eagles were all in after failing to furnish him with a long-term deal. Now, it's unclear if Jackson will remain in the team's plans after this season.
For every flashy moment, there's a headache.Â
After he appeared noncommunicative with quarterback Vince Young in Philly's Week 13 loss to the Seahawks, a teammate told the Inquirer that Jackson was "(messing) around" during the game, not fully there -- floating.
He's months away from hitting the free-agent market. Clearly, teams will come calling, attitude questions aside. But has Philly -- despite the kind words -- had enough?
