Bears sit down Hester against Lions because of illness

Chicago Bears wide receiver Devin Hester was feeling under the weather, so the team decided his services were no longer needed during Sunday's rout of the Detroit Lions.

The Bears, leading 34-6, announced midway through the third quarter that Hester wouldn't return to the game because of an illness.

Hester, who was questionable for the game with an ankle injury, wasn't heavily involved in the offense but returned a punt 82 yards for a touchdown during the second quarter.

The Bears also announced left guard Chris Williams was ruled out for the remainder of the game with a wrist injury.
