Vick takes hard hit, but returns for Eagles after brief exit

The Michael Vick injury watch is back on. The Philadelphia Eagles' quarterback was sidelined briefly during Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins, but returned on the next series.

Vick left the game in Washington during the third quarter after taking hard hit from behind by safety LaRon Landry. Vince Young replaced Vick, who was brought to the bench area after briefly standing near the sideline.

It would be no surprise to see the Eagles use extreme caution with Vick, who suffered a concussion in Week 2 against Atlanta but was able to return the following week.

The Fox game broadcast reported Vick simply had dirt in his face following the hit, and the Eagles didn't announce an official injury.
