Vikings WR Berrian in Twitter war with veteran of real one

It's fair to say that frustration is boiling over in Minnesota, after the Vikings dropped to 0-4 Sunday with a 22-17 loss to the previously winless Kansas City Chiefs.

After the game, Scout.com reported that veteran Minnesota receiver Bernard Berrian engaged in a Twitter war with a few people, among them a state lawmaker who has co-authored a bill to aid the construction of a new stadium for the team.

After Berrian responded angrily to fans who criticized his production -- he has just two catches for 37 yards this season -- Rep. John Kriesel, R-Cottage Grove, chimed in.

"If you want to follow a hilarious twitter account, try @B_Twice (Bernard Berrian) who says that he's open a lot and should get the ball more," Kriesel wrote on Twitter.

Berrian quickly responded to Kriesel.

"Anytime u wanna watch the film with me. Not just one game but all of them," Berrian wrote, "and if not sit down n shut up!!"

After another Twitter user mentioned to Berrian that Kriesel lost his legs while serving overseas -- Kriesel was wounded in an IED explosion while serving in Iraq -- Berrian was unimpressed.

"Shouldn't have opened his mouth," Berrian tweeted. "Especially bout something he knows nothing about. How classy is that of him?? … and for future reference both my parents and my older bro served in the military."

"I don't expect Berrian to care if I'm a stadium supporter or not," Kriesel shot back. "He won't be in the NFL when the stadium opens."
