Ravens' Harbaugh rules out Evans because of ankle injury

Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Friday that wide receiver Lee Evans is effectively out for Sunday night's game against the New York Jets.

Evans said he expects to return following the Ravens' bye in Week 5.

Evans, who did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, has been bothered by an ankle injury that kept him out of last week's 37-7 win over the St. Louis Rams.

The Ravens also ruled out safety Haruki Nakamura (knee), wide receiver David Reed (shoulder) and cornerback Jimmy Smith (ankle) on the official injury report Friday.
