The third-year quarterback is holding his "Jets West" camp, which started Monday, at Mission Viejo High School in Southern California for the second consecutive offseason. The camp gives Sanchez and offensive skill players such as running back LaDainian Tomlinson, tight end Dustin Keller and wide receiver Braylon Edwards an opportunity to practice together during the lockout.

Sanchez said Edwards and receiver Santonio Holmes were expected to arrive later this week.

"Braylon should be out by the end of this week, Santonio's trying to make it out, but at the same time they have family stuff going on, they have their own personal commitments," Sanchez said. "So I left it open for the younger guys and guys that are definitely coming back to the team.

"I told them there'd better be a very good reason not to be here."

Edwards confirmed his plans via Twitter.

"I'm headed to @Mark_Sanchez's BBQ!," he tweeted. "Being a free agent during a lockout is frustrating. There's business to be taken care of & I'm doing it!"

Sanchez also ran the weeklong camp in July 2010, complete with handmade T-shirts, at his former high school. Many players credited it for improving their on-field rapport.

Sanchez is posting pictures on Twitter of attendees, including backup quarterbacks Mark Brunell and Kevin O'Connell.
