Thirty-four NFL players compete in World Bowl


(June 22, 2007) -- A total of 34 NFL players will compete for the NFL Europa League championship in Yello Strom World Bowl XV on June 23 at Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt, Germany when the defending champion Frankfurt Galaxy face the Hamburg Sea Devils.

Among those 34 NFL players are starting quarterbacks J.T. O’Sullivan (Chicago Bears) of Frankfurt and Casey Bramlet (Washington Redskins) of Hamburg. O’Sullivan led the NFLEL with a 104.8 passer rating and 2,201 yards while tying Bramlet for the league lead with 16 touchdown passes. Bramlet ranked second with 2,019 yards and was third with a 97.5 passer rating. Twenty-three NFL teams will be represented in World Bowl XV with the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars leading the way with three players each.

"It’s great to be going to the World Bowl,” says Jacksonville safety Jamar Landrom, who recorded 41 tackles for Frankfurt. “We have a great crowd and the best fans. We have to make sure we take care of business this weekend."

NFL Network will televise the game live in the United States at 1 p.m. ET with Bob Papa and Brian Baldinger calling the action.

Following is a rundown of NFL-allocated players competing in World Bowl XV and their performances in the NFL Europa League this season:

ARIZONA CARDINALS
CB JUSTIN WYATT, Hamburg Sea Devils: Played in all 10 games with three starts and recorded 30 tackles, one interception for 25 yards, one sack, one forced fumble, four pass defenses and three special teams tackles.

ATLANTA FALCONS
P ADAM ANDERSON, Hamburg Sea Devils: Punted 41 times for 1,680 yards (41.0 average) with a long of 60. Placed 15 kicks inside the 20-yard line. CB BRENT GRIMES, Hamburg Sea Devils: Started in four of his eight games, recording 29 tackles and six pass defenses. Added two interceptions for 54 yards and one touchdown and also scored on a fumble return.

BUFFALO BILLS
QB KEVIN EAKIN, Frankfurt Galaxy: Played in all 10 games, posting a QB rating of 81.3. Completed 36 of 67 passes for 433 yards and four touchdowns.

CHICAGO BEARS
QB J.T. O’SULLIVAN, Frankfurt Galaxy: Started all 10 games and led NFLE with a passer rating of 104.8. Completed 174 of 254 passes for 2,201 yards, 16 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Added 31 runs for 110 yards (13 long) and two touchdowns.

CLEVELAND BROWNS
P KYLE BASLER, Frankfurt Galaxy: Punted 26 times for 1,091 yards (42.0 average) with a long of 55 yards and seven inside the 20-yard line.

DALLAS COWBOYS
DT REMI AYODELE, Frankfurt Galaxy: Played in 10 games with six starts and recorded 15 tackles, one sack and one pass defensed.

DENVER BRONCOS
TE TEYO JOHNSON, Hamburg Sea Devils: Caught 23 passes for 279 yards and three touchdowns while starting six of 10 games. Added one tackle.

DETROIT LIONS
LB JAMES HARGRAVE, Hamburg Sea Devils: Played in four games with two starts, recording 11 tackles and two special-teams tackles.

HOUSTON TEXANS
LB TRENT BRAY, Hamburg Sea Devils: Played in 10 games with four starts and registered 28 tackles, one sack and five special-teams stops. C MIKE BRISIEL, Hamburg Sea Devils: Started at center in all 10 games, helping Hamburg average 5.4 yards per offensive play. S JOHN WALKER, Hamburg Sea Devils: Recorded 25 tackles, seven pass defenses, one interception and two special-teams tackles in nine starts.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
K SHANE ANDRUS, Hamburg Sea Devils: Converted 14 of 17 field goals (47 long) and added 23 of 24 PATs for a total of 65 points to rank second among NFLE kickers. QB MIKE McGANN, Hamburg Sea Devils: Saw action in a relief role in six games, completing six passes for 45 yards.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
G RYAN GIBBONS, Hamburg Sea Devils: Played in 10 games at center and guard, starting on five occasions. S JAMAR LANDROM, Frankfurt Galaxy: Recorded 41 tackles, 0.5 sacks and two pass defenses in eight starts. Added five special teams tackles. G PETE McMAHON, Hamburg Sea Devils: Started at left guard in all 10 contests as Hamburg averaged 5.4 yards per offensive play in 2007.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
LB NICK REID, Frankfurt Galaxy Started all 10 games and recorded 55 tackles, three sacks, one interception, one forced fumble, three pass defenses and six special-teams stops.

MIAMI DOLPHINS
DT STEVE FIFITA, Frankfurt Galaxy Played in 10 games with four starts, recording 26 tackles and 2.5 sacks. CB SHIRDONYA MITCHELL, Frankfurt Galaxy Started nine games at cornerback and recorded 31 tackles, two interceptions for 81 yards and one touchdown, and nine pass defenses.

NEW YORK GIANTS
RB DECORI BIRMINGHAM, Frankfurt Galaxy: Played in five games with two starts and carried 43 times for 134 yards (12 long). Added 15 receptions for 105 yards (18 long) and eight kickoff returns for 143 yards (26 long). LB BARRY ROBERTSON, Hamburg Sea Devils: Played in seven games with five starts and recorded 37 tackles, one sack, one interception, one forced fumble and two pass defenses.

NEW YORK JETS
DT ZARNELL FITCH, Frankfurt Galaxy: Started five games and registered 23 tackles and five pass defenses. G MATT McCHESNEY, Frankfurt Galaxy: Started seven games and helped the Galaxy average a league-leading 355.5 yards per game. OAKLAND RAIDERS WR RICH PARSON, Hamburg Sea Devils: Started two of 10 games and caught two passes for nine yards (10 long). Added 19 punt returns for 101 yards (20 long) and 20 kickoff returns for 455 yards (55 long).

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
WR JERMAINE JAMISON, Frankfurt Galaxy: Caught 16 passes for 216 yards (30 long) and one touchdown. Added 11 kickoff returns for 202 yards (26 long) for the season. Notched seven special-teams tackles.

ST. LOUIS RAMS
T JEREMY PARQUET, Hamburg Sea Devils: Started all 10 games at right tackle.

SAN DIEGO CHARGERS
TE T.J. COTTRELL, Frankfurt Galaxy: Played in the final four games of the season, catching two passes for 24 yards (15 long). Added one special-teams tackle.

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
WR MARCUS MAXWELL, Hamburg Sea Devils: Started nine games and caught 32 passes for 499 yards (51 long) and a league-leading 7 receiving touchdowns. Added two runs for 13 yards (10 long). DE JOHN SYPTAK, Frankfurt Galaxy: Started five of 10 games and recorded 30 tackles, a team-leading 5.5 sacks, one pass defense and two forced fumbles.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
T JASON MURPHY, Frankfurt Galaxy: Played in nine games with six starts.

TENNESSEE TITANS
DE NATHANIEL ADIBI, Hamburg Sea Devils: Played in four games with one start and recorded two tackles and one special-teams tackle. TE JAMES PETROWSKI, Frankfurt Galaxy: Started six games and caught 32 passes for 474 yards (42 long) and five touchdowns.

WASHINGTON REDSKINS
QB CASEY BRAMLET, Hamburg Sea Devils: Started all 10 regular season games and compiled a passer rating of 97.5. Completed 151 of 254 attempts for 2,019 yards, 16 touchdowns and five interceptions. Added 33 rushing yards and one touchdown.
