Defensively for the Redskins, rush end Andre Carter harrassed Lions quarterback Jon Kitna for most of the game and notched a safety, two sacks and eight tackles.

Antwaan Randle El caught seven passes for 100 yards in the first half before leaving with a hamstring injury.
