1. It isn't easy being a Bills fan. Thanks to a wide-right kick, a "miracle" in the Music City, and subsequently, the longest current playoff drought in the AFC, you could say they deserve something good. But any self-respecting, snow-shoveling Buffalonian would agree -- nothing good is given to you. You have to earn it.

2. That's exactly what QB Ryan Fitzpatrick did. Since the unassuming, seventh-round draft pick out of Harvard was acquired by the Bills in 2009, he earned the respect of his teammates and the fans, the starting role and a long-term contract. The Bills are running better as a result.

3. The NFL Season: A Biography presented by SAP continues with a trip to western New York, where the Bills have earned some long-deserved respect and -- given one of the game's most passionate fan bases -- something good to believe in once again.
