Head coach Mike Tomlin said Thursday that the appeal of Bell's (knee) four-game suspension will take place in the second week of August, Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

The distraction aside, Bell expected to be fully recovered from last season's MCL and PCL tears at the start of training camp. The Steelers' first practice in the coming days will ultimately relay Bell's current level of health, but DeAngelo Williams is yet again in a prime position to have sustained relevance for the first quarter of the 2016 schedule.
