    • Vernon Davis TE - SF Davis (back) didn't take part in practic... 8:13 pm   10/1/14

Davis (back) didn't take part in practice Wednesday, the Sacramento Bee reports.

Impacts: Davis relayed after drills that he's able to move about better than he did Sunday, when he suffered his current back injury. However, the back spasms haven't subsided entirely, spurring the tight end to term himself "day-to-day," according to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area. The 49ers' current picture at tight end is clouded, with Vance McDonald dealing with a knee concern, meaning interested parties should keep a close eye on the situation as the week continues.
