      Fitzpatrick has signed a one-year, $12 million contract with the Jets, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

      Impacts: Fitzpatrick and the Jets have been in contract talks for months, with the quarterback stating a willingness to retire before he accepted an offer below his market value. Now that the deal is done, Fitzpatrick will surely be the Jets' starting quarterback for the second year in a row. In his lone season with the Jets in 2015, Fitzpatrick threw for 3,905 yards, 31 touchdowns and 15 interceptions while completing 59.6 percent of his passes in what was arguably the best season of his career.
