Blue had five carries for 18 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's preseason game against the Saints, adding one reception for one yard on his only target.

Impacts: According to Larry Holder of NOLA.com, Blue got the start in place of Arian Foster (groin), who will miss at least the first few games of the season. Blue is poised to take on the starting job and lead the Houston backfield, but he'll likely cede passing-down work to Jonathan Grimes and/or Chris Polk. Blue should get the goal-line carries, as he did during the first quarter of Sunday's preseason contest. Week 1 brings a difficult matchup with the Chiefs' excellent front seven.
