Rank's 11 offseason sleepers: Target Justin Hunter

This has been quite an eventful week. A photo of the new cast of "Star Wars" was leaked. Mike D'Antoni resigned as coach of your Los Angeles Lakers. And of course, the greatest story in sports over the past number of years, the Los Angeles Kings rallied from an 0-3 deficit to defeat the hated San Jose Sharks 4-3 in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

In other words, Peyton Manning should not expect to win the ESPY for the biggest choke in sports during the 2014 calendar year without a fight. Honestly, were the Sharks the biggest tank job of the year? I mean, if Tony Romo and Peyton Manning were cloned Jango Fett-style, it would be as the Sharks, right?

Growing up in Southern California, I've enjoyed an embarrassment of riches from my sports teams thanks in large part to the Los Angeles Lakers. I can't remember a time when the Lakers weren't in the mix for a championship pretty much since birth. It's been seemingly one championship parade after another. It's been crazy.

But there might not be a team I've loved more than this generation's Los Angeles Kings -- going back to the Stanley Cup run two years ago, a return to the conference finals last season and now this. Funny, there was a time when I wouldn't accept people as Lakers fans if they didn't support one of our terrible SoCal sports teams as well. Now the Lakers have become the lousy sports team.

What does this have to do with fantasy football? Eh, pretty much nothing. Just letting you know my mind might be wandering this week. Plus we have the NFL Draft coming up, too. There's a lot going on.

I did get a tweet or maybe it was a Facebook message this week about Rank's 11. Namely, the reader said enough with the running backs, how about some more receivers. I was a little taken back because I gave you a two-for of receivers last week. Were you not paying attention? But it's cool, there's another receiver I really like this week. It's Justin Hunter.

We won't know until the draft if Jake Locker is going to be the quarterback in Tennessee. But we do know Hunter should be the top target. I mean, how many times are we going to talk about Kendall Wright? I know Kendall has just started his third season and that's prime time for receivers to step their game up, but Hunter has way more upside.

Hunter barely played as a rookie last year, and he still had twice as many touchdowns as Wright. That's a big thing to take note of. And Ken Whisenhunt has done a pretty good job with big-bodied receivers over his last couple of stops. Just look at Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin in Arizona. I'll even give him a little bit of credit for Keenan Allen in San Diego last year, too. Oh shoot, Whisenhunt did pretty well as an offensive coordinator in Pittsburgh, too. Sheesh, you almost forget about his time in Pittsburgh.

Let me bottom line this so I can go back to the internet to make fun of Peyton Manning some more. Look for Hunter later in your drafts. No matter who the quarterback is, expect Hunter to be the pass-catcher who will emerge from the pack to be "the guy." I'm not saying he's going to have a Josh Gordon-like leap in his second year, but he's going to be the man.
