NFL fantasy football: Rank's 11 sleepers for Week 17

If you're in one of those leagues that plays its championship game in Week 17, well, you're really pushing it. And as luck would have it, there are still plenty of teams with a lot to play for, so, save the Atlanta Falcons, you should get some quality performances this week.

Normally I would have Harry Douglas as a sleeper right here, because the Falcons wideouts will likely see limited action with everything locked up. But Douglas has been troubled with a rib injury, so I wouldn't expect too much action from him, either. That would leave Drew Davis and Tim Toone as the guys who will eventually catch passes from Luke McCown.

And there's no way I can recommend any of those guys, even in Week 17.

The Bengals are also locked into their spot, too, so A.J. Green is going to be a risk. Andrew Hawkins is going to be a nice sleeper option.

One guy who might be of value for you is Randy Moss. Yes, that Randy Moss. He's back and relevant for the 49ers. Moss should see increased playing time in the wake of Mario Manningham's injury. Remember, Michael Crabtree is still the guy in San Francisco, but Moss is a sleeper for you, too.

Are you ready for the rest of Rank's 11?

Without further ado ...

Ryan Tannehill, QB, Miami Dolphins: The rookie has been solid over the last two weeks with four touchdowns and no interceptions. And now he's going up against the Patriots' pass defense, which has allowed the eighth-most points to fantasy quarterbacks this year.

Chad Henne, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars: Henne has thrown for a ton of yards in recent weeks, but he's had a long stretch without a multiple touchdown game. But the Titans have allowed the 11th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks.

Mark Ingram, RB, New Orleans Saints: The Saints running back has been a pleasant surprise in recent weeks as he's scored at least 12 points in back-to-back games. And he's had a rushing touchdown in three of his last four. The Panthers have allowed close to five-yards per carry in their last five road games.

Ben Tate, RB, Houston Texans: We're not sure how careful the Texans will be with Arian Foster, but Tate will get his opportunities. And you have to love the matchup as the Colts allowed 352 rushing yards in Week 16 to the Chiefs.

Montell Owens, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars: Owens hasn't been a great fantasy option in recent weeks, but going up against the Titans is a great matchup. Tennessee has allowed the third-most points to fantasy running backs this year.

Justin Blackmon, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars: With Cecil Shorts done for the year, Blackmon will be the team's most-targeted receiver. Blackmon has been in the Top 14 among receivers over the last two weeks.

Kenny Britt, WR, Tennessee Titans: There is nothing scientific about this selection. Britt did all of his damage last week in garbage time. But guess what, those points still count. And really, I'm just playing a hunch. Hey, I'm allowed one of those a week.

Week 17 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em

With title hopes on the line Michael Fabiano lays out his best start and sit options for Week 17 of the NFL season. More ...

Steven Hauschka, K, Seattle Seahawks: Only Blair Walsh has scored more points than Hauschka in the last month. He was on this list last week and if you're still playing the kick roulette, this is a pretty good option.

San Diego Chargers Defense: Another repeat performer on Rank's 11. The Chargers defense came through for us in Week 16, and if you still have them on your roster, keep them there. If you grabbed the Colts last week (another Rank's 11 which came through), drop them to add the Chargers.

Buffalo Bills defense: A lot of time when you spin the wheel, you want to grab a defense with a great offensive matchup, namely, teams going up against the Cardinals or Chiefs. But you can't grab the 49ers or the Broncos, so you then look to see who is going up against the Jets. And look, it's the Bills. Greg McElroy held on to the ball way too much and was sacked seemingly 51 times. The Bills are then a nice option.
