Fox caves in to pressure and plays Tebow

Save your money, Denver, coach John Fox relented to your demands and he put Tim Tebow in the game!

Sure it was at receiver, but I put that on the Denver fans right there - you need to be more specific. Your chant was only "We want Tebow." You did not specify as a quarterback.

Broncos coach John Fox came out on Monday and reiterated that Tebow was a quarterback, just not a very good one. (Kidding, I added that last part.) So for those of you clamoring to put Tebow in your lineup as a quarterback, that dream will have to wait.

I mean, Fox is not Todd Haley.

What does that mean? Well, for those of you looking to pick up Dexter McCluster as the potential replacement to Jamaal Charles, guess what, you cannot play McCluster as a running back because the Chiefs have him listed as a wide receiver on the official roster. Which seems strange considering that McCluster is No. 22, a number designated for defensive backs and running backs.

These roster shenanigans are further proof that Chiefs coach Todd Haley hates your fantasy football team. Uncool.

Now who has questions?

Hey Adam, I have Daniel Thomas on my bench and Greg Jennings as my flex. I'd prefer a RB at flex. Is there any chance that Thomas could replace Jennings in that spot some time in this season? - Wallace Pruitt (via Facebook)
I hate to quote Lauren Holly from Dumb and Dumber, but I am saying that there is a chance. Remember, with bye weeks coming up, there will be a chance to use Thomas in the flex spot, or even as one of your starters. Most weeks, though, you will be going with Dre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald and Jennings in your flex. That is a nice team, Wallace.

I am in a really deep league and have really bad depth at the WR position, would David Nelson (BUF) be worth a waiver wire pick? - Hand Banana (via Twitter)
Deep league or not, Nelson could start seeing some more time with an ankle injury to Roscoe Parrish. Nelson also would be a good guy to add if you are going to be missing Miles Austin in the coming weeks, too.

What the hell do I do with Arian Foster? Mike Wojtkiewicz (via Twitter)
Hope that Foster takes the time to get healthy and play when he is ready to play. If you followed along last week ,you knew I was very dubious of this plan to rush Foster back into the lineup, especially since it was so unnecessary.

Adam, you have helped me a lot in fantasy, so I return with another question. Ben Tate or Cedric Benson as my flex? - Ian Spears (via Facebook)
What you have here is a great matchup play, picking the player each week based on the best chance to succeed. Tate is going to be a great play when he is going to be the featured back in offense. Looking ahead to next week, Tate faces the Saints, and Benson plays the 49ers. The Saints have given up a lot of fantasy points to running backs so far this year, so my initial lean is going to be towards Tate, assuming that Foster is going to miss this week. Again, this is the initial lean, so be sure to check back in with me as the week goes on.

Should I hold on to Mike Sims-Walker, Julio Jones and Hines Ward or are they not going to do anything this season? - Rodrigo (via Twitter)
The Falcons did not use Jones much on Sunday night because the Eagles give up a ton of points to tight ends, meaning that the No. 2 option in that offense was destined to have a poor day. I don't have much love for Hines Ward at this point. You are better off looking at some of these guys with tremendous upside like Eric Decker, Jordy Nelson or Greg Salas. You know what you are getting with Ward, and it is not much. Denarius Moore is another guy to take a chance on, too.

And this goes for everybody. If you have some guys on your bench who are there just because of name value (Ward, etc.) go ahead and cut bait on the guys that are not producing. Better to move on and take some risk on your bench, then have a guy on there for familiarity and sentimental reasons.

Hey Adam, I have so many good RBs, and I don't know who to start. McCoy and Forte are obvious starts, but my problem is at flex. Should I start LeGarrette Blount, James Starks, Ben Tate or Jonathan Stewart? - Juan Jo Suarez
Bragger! I am not answering your question now.

Just kidding. But keep in mind, you are like one of those supermodel gals that complains that nobody wants to ask them out because you are too beautiful. We get it. So you have a lot of good RBs to focus on in your flex spot. I would settle on Blount and then look to deal Starks to the guy who mistakenly took Ryan Grant, or deal Tate to the guy saddled with Arian Foster. Ask for the moon and see if you can pry a good receiver away from them. Jonathan Stewart was very interesting this week because of all of the passes he caught out of the backfield. Hang on to him, he could end up being very valuable in Carolina. And then you can keep him, or try to deal him to the guy with DeAngelo Williams.

For the record, you can submit your fantasy questions to NFL.com Fantasy Live, Michael Fabiano or me on Twitter. But realize, NFL.com Fantasy has 20,000 followers, Fabiano has 30,000, me, I only have 1,900. So your odds are better that I will answer a question, just based on the numbers. So hit me up on both via Twitter or via Facebook. Be sure to catch the latest on the Dave Dameshek Football Program.
