Fantasy injury report: Week 6

The following is a list of injured players for Week 6 (October 14-15) and the fantasy implications of all the major injuries:

**Arizona Cardinals**
Out: T Levi Brown (ankle); Doubtful: WR Anquan Boldin (hip); Questionable: , DE Joe Tafoya (hamstring); Probable: G Elton Brown (knee), WR Bryant Johnson (quadriceps).

Fantasy take: Boldin is doubtful for Week 6, so look for Johnson to start in Carolina. The loss of Brown hurts the Cardinals offensive line.

**Atlanta Falcons**
Out: LB Stephen Nicholas (ankle), T Todd Weiner (knee); Questionable: DT Jonathan Babineaux (knee), LB Keith Brooking (hamstring), DT Roderick Coleman (knee), QB Byron Leftwich (ankle); Probable: TE Dwayne Blakley (pectoral), S Chris Crocker (knee), TE Alge Crumpler (knee, ankle), DT Grady Jackson (back), CB Lewis Sanders (shoulder).

Fantasy take: Crumpler returned to work late in the week and should start against the N.Y. Giants. The Falcons are hurting on their offensive line, so the Giants defense is a solid start.

**Baltimore Ravens**
Out: DT Trevor Pryce (wrist), T Adam Terry (ankle), TE Daniel Wilcox (toe); Questionable: C Mike Flynn (knee), QB Steve McNair (back), T Jonathan Ogden (toe), CB Samari Rolle (illness); Probable: TE Todd Heap (thigh), WR Derrick Mason (illness), LB Gary Stills (knee).

Fantasy take: McNair missed practice late in the week but should still start in Week 6. He'll be a gametime decision. Rolle, Heap and Ogden all returned to practice on a limited basis, so their chances to return in Week 6 have improved a bit. Mason, who had a case of gastroenteritis, is listed as probable.

**Carolina Panthers**
Out: RB Nick Goings (concussion), LB Dan Morgan (ankle), LB Adam Seward (calf); Probable: LB James Anderson (thigh), QB David Carr (back), CB Ken Lucas (shoulder).

Fantasy take: Carr is expected to start in Arizona, but he's a gamble for fantasy owners. The Panthers added Vinny Testaverde as insurance with Jake Delhomme (elbow) out for the season.

**Chicago Bears**
Doubtful: CB Nathan Vasher (groin), DT Darwin Walker (knee); Questionable: CB Charles Tillman (ankle), WR Bernard Berrian (toe), T John Tait (ankle), LB Lance Briggs (hamstring); Probable: LB Brendon Ayanbadejo (foot), DT Tommie Harris (knee), LB Brian Urlacher (back).

Fantasy take: Berrian returned to practice on Friday and is expected to start in Week 6, but be sure to keep tabs on his status throughout the weekend. The Bears have several injuries on defense, but most of their key components should be active vs. Minnesota.

**Cincinnati Bengals**
Out: T Willie Anderson (knee), LB Rashad Jeanty (shin), S Ethan Kilmer (knee), WR Tab Perry (hip); Doubtful: LB Ahmad Brooks (groin), LB Caleb Miller (back); Questionable: DE Jonathan Fanene (knee), DE Frostee Rucker (hand); Probable: S Dexter Jackson (illness), RB Rudi Johnson (hamstring), C Alex Stepanovich (knee).

Fantasy take: Johnson could be a gametime decision, so keep tabs on his status before kickoff. He could also share carries with Kenny Watson, so Johnson is a bit of a risk.

**Cleveland Browns**
Out: TE Darnell Dinkins (hand); RB Jamal Lewis (foot); Questionable: S Gary Baxter (knees), WR Joe Jurevicius (knee), RB Jamal Lewis (foot), S Brodney Pool (thigh); Probable: RB Charles Ali (toe), TE Kellen Winslow (shoulder).

Fantasy take: Lewis could be a gametime decision, so fantasy owners should look to add Jason Wright as insurance or a possible one-week solution against Miami. Winslow will be active in Week 6 and is a solid option.

**Dallas Cowboys**
Out: CB Courtney Brown (biceps), WR Terry Glenn (knee), CB Anthony Henry (ankle); Doubtful: RB Oliver Hoyte (neck); Questionable: S Keith Davis (shoulder); Probable: LB Kevin Burnett (thigh).

Fantasy take: Patrick Crayton will continue to start in Glenn's absence. The Patriots wide receivers have a real advantage against Dallas with Henry out in Week 6.

**Green Bay Packers**
Out: CB Will Blackmon (foot), C Scott Wells (eye), DE Mike Montgomery (knee); Questionable: OL Junius Coston (ankle); Probable: RB Vernand Morency (team decision), T Chad Clifton (knee), TE Bubba Franks (knee), CB Al Harris (back), WR Greg Jennings (shoulder), CB Charles Woodson (foot).

Fantasy take:Brandon Jackson (shin) is not on the injury report, but there's no word on whether he will start over DeShawn Wynn and Morency. Jennings and Franks should both be active in Week 6.

**Houston Texans**
Out: WR Andre Johnson (knee); Probable: K Kris Brown (left foot), DT Travis Johnson (knee), WR Jacoby Jones (shoulder), DE N.D. Kalu (hand), LB DeMeco Ryans (ankle) .

Fantasy take: Johnson is out for Week 6, so Jones, Kevin Walter and Andre' Davis will see most of the work at wideout. Ahman Green (knee) practiced all week and will start in Jacksonville. Brown is probable but is still a bit of a risk for fantasy owners.

**Jacksonville Jaguars**
Out: K Josh Scobee (right quadriceps); Questionable: DE Reggie Hayward (hamstring), RB Fred Taylor (groin); Probable: G Chris Naeole (knee), DE Paul Spicer (thigh), DT Marcus Stroud (ankle), TE George Wrighster (knee).

Fantasy take: Taylor missed a portion of Friday's practice, so be sure to keep tabs on his status. Maurice Jones-Drew would see more work if Taylor is out or limited in Week 6.

**Kansas City Chiefs**
Out: WR Eddie Kennison (hamstring); Questionable: LB Keyaron Fox (hamstring), CB Dimitri Patterson (hamstring); Probable: CB Benny Sapp (ankle), T Kyle Turley (ankle), S Greg Wesley (knee).

Fantasy take: Kennison re-injured his hamstring against Jacksonville and is out for Week 6, so Samie Parker will start in his absence. Damon Huard (shoulder) has been taken off the injury report and will start against Cincinnati.

**Miami Dolphins**
Out: QB Trent Green (concussion), DT Vonnie Holliday (ankle), S Travares Tillman (knee); Questionable: WR Derek Hagan (hamstring), DT Rodrique Wright (ankle); Probable: RB Ronnie Brown (foot), LB Channing Crowder (ankle), K Jay Feely (neck), C Samson Satele (neck), DE Jason Taylor (neck), S Cameron Worrell (shoulder).

Fantasy take: Green could be out for the season, so Cleo Lemon will start in Cleveland. Taylor is a warrior and should be fine for Week 6. Brown and Feely also seem like safe fantasy options.

**Minnesota Vikings**
Questionable:LB Ben Leber (ribs), DE Erasmus James (shoulder); Probable: QB Tarvaris Jackson (groin), S Dwight Smith (hamstring).

Fantasy take: Jackson is expected to return in Week 6, but he has little value as a fantasy starter.

**New England Patriots**
Questionable: CB Randall Gay (thigh), C Dan Koppen (ankle), T Matt Light (flu), RB Laurence Maroney (groin), S Mel Mitchell (groin), G Steve Neal (shoulder), CB Asante Samuel (foot), WR Donte' Stallworth (knee), LB Adalius Thomas (ankle), WR Kelley Washington (hamstring); Probable: QB Tom Brady (right shoulder), T Wesley Britt (team decision).

Fantasy take: Maroney is expected to be a gametime decision, so keep tabs on his status at kickoff. Sammy Morris would start again if Maroney is out. Stallworth should be fine for Week 6, barring setbacks.

**New Orleans Saints**
Out: CB Jason David (forearm); Probable: K Olindo Mare (right groin).

Fantasy take: Mare returned to practice late in the week and should start in Week 6.

**New York Giants**
Out: WR Steve Smith (shoulder); Questionable: WR Plaxico Burress (ankle), DE Osi Umenyiora (knee), RB Derrick Ward (ankle).

Fantasy take: Burress, Ward and Umenyiora should all be active in Week 6, but be sure to keep tabs on their status for Monday night.

**New York Jets**
Questionable: T Anthony Clement (thigh), S Erik Coleman (concussion), WR Laveranues Coles (knee), DE Shaun Ellis (foot), WR Justin McCareins (ankle), QB Chad Pennington (ankle), DT Dewayne Robertson (knee), S Eric Smith (thigh); Probable: RB Darian Barnes (thigh), TE Jason Pociask (back).

Fantasy take: Pennington and Coles were limited in Friday's practice, but both should start against Philadelphia.

**Oakland Raiders**
Out: QB Josh McCown (toe), DT Gerard Warren (quadriceps); Doubtful: DE Derrick Burgess (calf), RB LaMont Jordan (back); Questionable: LB Isaiah Ekejiuba (foot).

Fantasy take: Daunte Culpepper will start in Week 6 with McCown out of action. Jordan is listed as doubtful, so expect Justin Fargas to start and share carries with Dominic Rhodes.

**Philadelphia Eagles**
Out: S Brian Dawkins (neck); Doubtful: WR Greg Lewis (ankle); Questionable: CB Lito Sheppard (knee), TE L.J. Smith (hernia); Probable: G Todd Herremans (knee), T William Thomas (knee), RB Brian Westbrook (abdomen) .

Fantasy take: Westbrook practiced without limitations all week and will start in Week 6. He should be active in all formats. Smith also practiced all week, but his status remains uncertain. The potential return of Sheppard would be good news for the Philadelphia defense, though reports indicate he will miss one more contest.

**San Diego Chargers**
Out: WR Eric Parker (toe), RB Andrew Pinnock (knee); Probable: WR Vincent Jackson (shoulder), LB Brandon Siler (back).

Fantasy take: Craig Davis will continue to start with Parker out. Jackson is probable and expected to start vs. Oakland.

**Seattle Seahawks**
Out: WR Deion Branch (foot), T Ray Willis (knee); Doubtful: WR D.J. Hackett (ankle); Questionable: DT Rocky Bernard (groin), TE Marcus Pollard (knee); Probable: RB Shaun Alexander (wrist), CB Josh Wilson (ankle).

Fantasy take: Branch is out for Week 6, so Bobby Engram will start and is a nice sleeper candidate. Hackett is now doubtful and not out, but chances are he will miss another contest. Will Heller will start if Pollard is out of action.

**St. Louis Rams**
Out: WR Isaac Bruce (hamstring), WR Dante' Hall (ankle), RB Steven Jackson (groin), WR Dane Looker (thigh), LB Raonall Smith (knee); Questionable: QB Marc Bulger (ribs), S Corey Chavous (pectoral); Probable: QB Gus Frerotte (ankle), DE James Hall (pectoral), CB Tye Hill (back), WR Torry Holt (knee).

Fantasy take: Jackson is out for at least another week, so Brian Leonard will start in Baltimore. He's a viable flex option in leagues with 12-plus teams. Holt returned to practice late in the week and will start in Week 6. Bulger will not start, as Frerotte will keep his spot atop the depth chart. Bruce is out this week, so Drew Bennett is in line to start and see more work. The return of Hill would be great news for the St. Louis defense.

**Tampa Bay Buccaneers**
Out: RB Michael Pittman (ankle); Doubtful: CB Brian Kelly (groin); Questionable: WR Ike Hilliard (shoulder), LB Barrett Ruud (knee), DE Greg White (shoulder).

Fantasy take: Pittman is out several weeks, so Earnest Graham will take over as the Buccaneers' featured back. The team also added Zack Crockett for depth purposes. Hilliard practiced on Friday and should be fine for Week 6.

**Tennessee Titans**
Out: WR Brandon Jones (knee); Probable: DE Sean Conover (ankle), DT Albert Haynesworth (ankle).

Fantasy take: Jones is listed as questionable for Week 6, so keep tabs on his practice status at kickoff. Eric Moulds and Roydell Williams would see more work if Jones is out.

**Washington Redskins**
Out: G Randy Thomas (triceps); Doubtful: LB Marcus Washington (hamstring); Questionable: WR Antwaan Randle El (hamstring); Probable: DE Phillip Daniels (shoulder), RB Mike Sellers (heel), WR Santana Moss (groin), CB Fred Smoot (illness).

Fantasy take: Moss is expected to start and is a nice option vs. Green Bay. Randle El is questionable and could be a gametime decision in Week 6.
