Vikings 2013 minnesota vikings Fantasy Preview

When it came to fantasy in 2012, the Vikings were more than just Adrian Peterson. Although, truth be told, they were mostly Adrian Peterson. A.D. (first - 307.40) carried plenty of owners to titles last year thanks to his 2,097-yard season. There's little doubt that he remains among the pre-eminent rushers in fantasy football. Were it not for the knee injury that prematurely ended his 2011 season, Peterson likely would be working on a fifth straight season of finishing in the top four at his position. All the while, Kyle Rudolph's (ninth - 105.30) breakout season shouldn't be overlooked. The tight end could have bigger things in store this year. See ... it wasn't all Peterson last season.

FACT: Peterson rushed for 2,097 yards last season - less than a year removed from reconstructive knee surgery.
Offseason Moves

Like many of their rivals in the NFC North, the Vikes didn't see much outbound traffic this offseason. However the team did say goodbye to veteran CB Antoine Winfield (Seattle), WR Michael Jenkins (New England) and Twitter-favorite P Chris Kluwe (Oakland). Minnesota did add some interesting pieces, chief among them were WR Greg Jennings and QB Matt Cassel, who could push for the starting job if Christian Ponder falters.

Sleepers & Busts

After an eye-opening season in 2012, Rudolph has a chance to move up the ranks of a top-heavy tight end position this season. First-round draft pick Cordarrelle Patterson has a chance to fill a role as a No. 2 receiver in Minnesota's offense. However, his WR mate, Jennings, may find that a change in quarterbacks will make it hard for him to match the production he had in Green Bay.
