Week 8 fantasy football #KABOOM winners

Each week, we at NFL fantasy like to bestow #KABOOM awards on the top players at each position that deliver monster performances for their fantasy owners. Week 8 had no shortage of star performers and surprises, but there were a few players in particular who deserve the nod for dominating their position: Ben Roethlisberger, Arian Foster, Jeremy Maclin and Rob Gronkowski.

Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers -- 44.78 fantasy points

There had been numerous questions throughout the season as to the viability of the Pittsburgh offense led by coordinator Todd Haley. Those questions were warranted after the team struggled recently, only putting up 17 points against the Jaguars and 10 points against the Browns. Well, for now at least, Big Ben and Haley put those questions to rest by hanging 51 points on the Colts, thanks in part to six touchdown passes from Roethlisberger. His 522 yards didn't hurt, either.

Arian Foster, RB, Houston Texans -- 35.30 fantasy points

Why oh why did anyone ever doubt Arian Foster? The guy has been an absolute stud this season aside from the two games where he was dealing with a hamstring injury. Case in point, Foster notched 173 total yards and three touchdowns on Sunday which was good for his first 30-point fantasy day of the season.

Jeremy Maclin, WR, Philadelphia Eagles -- 30.70 fantasy points

It seemed like the top wide receiver spot was destined to go to Emmanuel Sanders after his Thursday night outburst when he caught three touchdown passes and had over 100 yards. Well, that was until Maclin caught two touchdowns of his own and racked up 187 receiving yards, edging out Sanders by .1 fanasy points.

Rob Gronkowski, TE, New England Patriots -- 32.90 fantasy points

It's good to see Gronk doing Gronk-like things once again. With each passing week the big lug of a tight end has looked more and more like his dominant self, and he was at his best on Sunday, breaking tackles and beating the entire defense in coverage to notch 149 receiving yards with three touchdowns and three Gronk spikes.
