Fantasy football bargains: Philip Rivers could fall in drafts

Chris Johnson, RB, Titans: It's hard to believe Johnson could be considered a draft bargain, but he's likely to slip to the end of the first round, possibly the second. If that happens for you, be sure to pounce on him because he's going to have a huge bounce-back year.

Tony Romo, QB, Cowboys: A lot of fantasy enthusiasts allow their anti-Cowboys bias cloud their judgment on draft day. And that's fine. Let them pass on a guy who threw for 4,184 yards and 31 touchdowns in 2011, and will have no problem matching those totals. And considering my luck of always having quarterbacks I don't like, Romo is likely going to be my starter this year.

Philip Rivers, QB, Chargers: Rivers is another guy who some fantasy snobs might turn their noses up at because of a lackluster 2011. But P-Riv is going to have a monster year. I really believe Vincent Jackson's bad attitude hurt the team last year, and the Chargers will be much better off with Bobby Meachem and Eddie Royal this year. So grab Rivers when you can.

Kenny Britt, WR, Titans:Fantasy owners can be apprehensive when it comes to guys coming off injuries, and that's a good thing. But the guy who ends up with Britt is going to have a nice bargain.

Reggie Wayne, WR, Colts: If you saw what Cam Newton did for Steve Smith's fantasy value last season, you don't have to wonder too much about what Andrew Luck can do for Wayne in 2012. Is Wayne going to return as one of the elite fantasy guys in the game? No, but Wayne will be a nice mid- to late-round pickup for some fortunate fantasy enthusiast.

Michael Bush, RB, Bears: The mess with Matt Forte has the potential to spill into training camp, maybe even the regular season. So the prudent fantasy player would be wise to select Bush, who is more than just a handcuff this season. Even when Forte does report, he's at risk of being out of shape and a high injury risk.

Danny Amendola, WR, Rams: Coming off a triceps injury (and it's not uncouth to tell the less-informed owners in your league that it was a knee-injury), this could be a breakout season for Amendola, who is often compared to fellow Texas Tech alumnus Wes Welker. Amendola is going to lead the Rams in receptions and will be a bargain.

Michael Floyd, WR, Cardinals: Notre Dame hasn't had a lot of success producing fantasy studs, unless you count Jeff Samardzija -- and he plays for the Chicago Cubs. But Floyd is really going to benefit from playing opposite Larry Fitzgerald. Floyd isn't going to be counted on to carry the load (think Justin Blackmon), and that will help him get more one-on-one coverage. Floyd can have a year like Julio Jones did for the Falcons in 2011.

Brent Celek, TE, Eagles: If you need a tight end in the final rounds, Celek is a nice value and a dependable receiver. Over the second half of the season, Celek had the fourth-most yards of tight ends. He will build on that.

Antonio Brown, WR, Steelers: You never know how players are going to react to their contract situation, so Brown is the Steelers receiver to have this season, not Mike Wallace. So while somebody in the draft takes Wallace, play it cool when you take Brown a round later and end up with better production.
