Antonio Gates scores on a 24-yard pass from Philip Rivers. ... Touchdown, Earnest Graham, on 26-yard run. He now has 102 rushing yards in the contest. ... T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Chris Henry both have touchdowns against Arizona. Chad Johnson has none. ... Joey Harrington replaces a dreadful Byron Leftwich for Atlanta. Falcons head coach Bobby Petrino is going to get killed in the Atlanta media for starting Leftwich in the first place.

» Touchdown, Alex Smith, on a 21-yard pass from Jeff Garcia. ... John Beck has completed 8 of 20 passes for 105 yards in Philadelphia. Welcome to the NFL! ... Brodie Croyle has a better stat line than Peyton Manning in the Kansas City-Indianapolis contest. Hell has to have frozen over. ... Antrel Rolle scores his second touchdown, this one on a 54-yard interception return of a Carson Palmer pass. Palmer has three picks on the afternoon.

» Contrary to reports, Marvin Harrison is not active. However, Anthony Gonzalez is active and should see more work in Harrison's absence. Ahman Green is also inactive, as is Steve Smith. Michael Pittman is active, but Earnest Graham will continue to start for the Buccaneers. Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson are active, and I love them both against New Orleans. ... Why do I feel like Donovan McNabb is going to struggle against Miami?

» I've received some e-mails about Derek Anderson's status on the "quarterbacks with unfavorable matchups list" on Start 'Em & Sit 'Em. Well, his opponent, the Baltimore Ravens, rank 12th against the pass and didn't allowed a touchdown pass in last week's loss to Cincinnati. But his value will rise if Ravens CB Chris McAlister is out. I still have Anderson ranked in the top 10 at the quarterback position, so I do think he's a starter in most formats. Rather than place a quarterback like Tarvaris Jackson or Vinny Testaverde, neither of whom will be active in most leagues, on the list, I prefer to put players who have value so fantasy owners can make educated decisions.

Welcome to NFL.com's fantasy football blog. I'll be checking in on all the games and letting you know about the big performances, injuries and all the important news and notes.
