Draft Analysis:

  • 6'0" Height
  • 32 3/4" Arm Length
  • 234LBS. Weight
  • 9 5/8" Hands

Stevenson was a four-star recruit as a linebacker coming out of high school, but enrolled early and switched to a back-up fullback and special teams ace for the 2013 season (8-33, TD rushing; 2-18 receiving). He began leading the way for star running back Dalvin Cook in earnest in 2014, starting seven times and catching seven passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. Stevenson got 10 starts as a junior, (3-9 rushing; 9-64 receiving) and four starts in 2016, being used more often as a rusher (13-90, four TD).

Very fluid athlete in space. Has movement skill to make sudden changes to his blocking assignments when needed. Can keep a quick pace as lead blocker on wide flowing plays allowing the runner to play faster. Won't shy away from the aggressive iso-blocks. Drives feet through contact and can attack on angles for kick-out blocks. Has short yardage ability as ball carrier.

Has limited reps in pass protection and very few catches. Can be a little late to find assignments at times. Can be stuffed to ground when launching into defender's legs too early in space.

Draft Projection

Round 7-PFA

Bottom Line

Athletic lead blocker who has an ability to lead the charge either downhill or on outside zone plays. Stevenson possesses an aggressive field demeanor and a good radar to land strikes in space. He lacks third down value, but can grind it out as a short yardage ball carrier. There will be a very limited amount of teams interested in a fullback this season, but Stevenson has enough ability to make a roster if he gets a shot.
