With the NFL Scouting Combine in the rearview mirror, teams will be reevaluating their board in the weeks to come based on on-field results and what they learned about prospects in medical exams and interviews. Free agency, which begins Thursday, also has the potential to shake up the outlook for Round 1 as teams' areas of need change based on signings and departures.

Here's my latest take on how Round 1 could play out after the dust settles following the flurry of player movement to come.
  1. Pick No.
    1
    DE
    Texas A&M
Garrett is the best pass rusher in the draft and will fit nicely in the Browns' new 4-3 defense.
  2. Pick No.
    2
    DE
    Alabama
    Projected trade to Redskins
(Projected trade with 49ers for QB Kirk Cousins) Redskins get an excellent 3-4 defensive end who gives you an inside pass rush.
  3. Pick No.
    3
    CB
    Ohio St.
Lattimore has terrific cover skills. The Bears will solve their quarterback problem by other means.
  4. Pick No.
    4
Fournette will take pressure off QB Blake Bortles.
  5. Pick No.
    5
    S
    LSU
Adams has excellent cover skills and also provides solid run defense.
  6. Pick No.
    6
    RB
    Florida St.
Cook is an explosive back who will help the Jets' quarterback, whoever it is.
  7. Pick No.
    7
    S
    Ohio St.
Chargers add a very good cover safety in Hooker.
  8. Pick No.
    8
    DE
    Tennessee
GM Dave Gettleman believes in having a strong defensive line. Barnett is an excellent addition.
  9. Pick No.
    9
    LB
    Alabama
Foster reminds me of Luke Kuechly.
  10. Pick No.
    10
    WR
    Clemson
The Bills keep Tyrod Taylor and draft a quarterback later (see Pick No. 31).
  11. Pick No.
    11
    CB
    Washington
Help is needed in many places in the Saints' defense.
  12. Pick No.
    12
    QB
    North Carolina
Trubisky is the top quarterback in a weak group.
  13. Pick No.
    13
    DE
    Stanford
Thomas could replace Calais Campbell, whom they'll probably lose in free agency.
  14. Pick No.
    14
    DE
    UCLA
    Projected trade to Saints
(Projected trade with Eagles for WR Brandin Cooks) Help is needed in New Orleans with the outside pass rush.
  15. Pick No.
    15
    OT
    Utah
Andrew Luck gets some much-needed help in protection.
  16. Pick No.
    16
    WR
    Washington
Joe Flacco gets much-needed speed at receiver.
  17. Pick No.
    17
    DT
    Florida
The rebuilding of the defensive line continues.
  18. Pick No.
    18
    OT
    Wisconsin
    Projected trade to Giants
(Projected trade up with Titans for No. 23 pick) The Giants get the left tackle they desperately need.
  19. Pick No.
    19
    RB
    Stanford
The versatile McCaffrey can fill many roles.
  20. Pick No.
    20
    TE
    Alabama
The Broncos fill their offensive line needs in free agency, and add a receiving weapon here.
  21. Pick No.
    21
    OLB
    Missouri
I'm not sure the Lions sit here when it's all over; I could see them trading up for an OT.
  22. Pick No.
    22
This pick is assuming the Dolphins re-sign Kenny Stills -- otherwise they draft a receiver.
  23. Pick No.
    23
    WR
    Western Michigan
    Projected trade to Titans
(Projected trade down with Giants for No. 18 pick) Marcus Mariota gets a legitimate No. 1 wide receiver.
  24. Pick No.
    24
    CB
    Ohio St.
Conley is a fine press corner who has the potential to play off in man-to-man coverage.
  25. Pick No.
    25
    OT
    Alabama
The Texans' offensive line needs to be strengthened.
  26. Pick No.
    26
    OLB
    Alabama
The Seahawks add the second-best pass rusher in this draft.
  27. Pick No.
    27
    QB
    Clemson
The Chiefs take their quarterback of the future. Watson can sit behind Alex Smith.
  28. Pick No.
    28
The Cowboys will lose one or two cornerbacks in free agency.
  29. Pick No.
    29
    OLB
    Wisconsin
Peppers is getting older and the Packers will probably look for a young pass rusher. Watt will be fastest riser this spring.
  30. Pick No.
    30
    S
    Michigan
The Steelers take the most versatile athlete in the draft to fill their safety need.
  31. Pick No.
    31
    QB
    Notre Dame
    Projected trade to Bills
(Projected trade up with Falcons) The Bills get back into Round 1 and take their quarterback of the future.
  32. Pick No.
    32
    TE
    Miami
    Projected trade to Patriots
"Trader Bill" not likely to stay here, but the Patriots could lose Martellus Bennett in free agency.
