Analysis

Strengths

Well put together. Transfer from Arizona. Knows he is bigger than his competition and plays like it. Flashes soft, reliable hands. Willing to work the middle of the field when called on and can hold up to hits. Tracks and high points the ball effectively. Physical and puts in work as run blocker. Makes contested catches.

Weaknesses

More of a "build-up" speed receiver than a burner. Below-average foot quickness and initial acceleration when used as catch-and-run target in short passing game. Does a little too much body catching.

Draft Projection

Round 7 or priority free agent

Bottom Line

Former Arizona Wildcat with Pac-12 size and adequate test speed to go with quality hands. Slavin ran well enough to attract some attention at his pro day, but his workout is what gives him a late-round selection or priority free-agent shot. Will need much more work with his routes in the NFL.
