Draft Analysis:

  • 6'0" Height
  • 30 1/2" Arm Length
  • 198LBS. Weight
  • 8 5/8" Hands

Former track man with solid vertical speed. Good job of adjusting in space against zone coverage to maximize throwing window for erratic quarterback during 2014 season. Has football smarts. Sticks foot in ground and drives hard out of break to create functional separation. Understands how to use his hands off line of scrimmage and within route. Known by scouts for high football character and toughness over the middle. Looked more comfortable operating outside and down the field as opposed to from the slot. Opened eyes with a solid week of practices at the Senior Bowl. Body control to adjust to poor throws and can save the incompletion.

Tends to go dead-legged, falling to the ground while making tough catch rather than continuing the play. Hands don't look very natural. Lets ball get to his frame too often and was dinged with six drops this season. Upright in his routes. Has straight-line speed, but needs a build-up. Still learning to set up routes for maximum separation. Doesn't flash instant acceleration to become catch-and-run threat.

"I was kind of hoping he wouldn't look very good at the Senior Bowl so I can keep him under the radar." -- NFC East area scout

Denarius Moore

Bottom Line

Isn't going to get teams excited with his size, play speed or hands, but he's willing to do whatever is asked of him and flashes enough potential to be viewed as a developmental prospect.
