Has been a regular contributor for LSU's defense since freshman season in 2011.

Pro Day Results

40-yard dash: 4.75 and 4.79 seconds
Vertical jump: 28 1/2 inches
Broad jump: 9 feet
Short shuttle: 4.65 seconds
3-cone: 7.11 seconds

Upper echelon football intelligence. Has great eyes and anticipation. Rarely fooled by play-action and screens. Has benefited from playing for defensive coordinator John Chavis. Skilled with his hands. Quick out of stance. Takes good pursuit angles and can make himself skinny when slanting. Can "rip and run" around the edge as a rusher. Has played with a hand in the ground and standing. Has ability to transition into full-time 3-4 OLB spot. Seamless change of direction and an accelerator to close on perimeter. Tough enough. Flexible upper body with decent hips.

Shorter arms than desired as a defensive end. Could struggle to leverage gap if drafted as an end. Uses foot movement to help get rid of blocker and will give up his run fit at times. Has posted average production as a pass rusher over the last two seasons. Has initial quickness but lacks three-step explosion to consistently threaten the edge. Lacks strength to recover and can be washed down on zone plays.

Bottom Line

Rasco doesn't have the pass-rush talent to draw a great deal of excitement leading up to the draft, but he keeps his eyes glued to the backfield and he is rarely out of position. Rasco can use his toughness, football acumen and quickness to compete for a spot with a blitz-happy, complex defense as a 3-4 OLB.
